I love Tasmania for so many reasons.. It is a beautiful part of Australia and I always find myself coming back. I have been very lucky to stay at some very special places that I feel has made my Tasmania experiences full. Below I’ve put some of my favourite airbnbs + you can see more here. I hope you get the chance to experience these beautiful places.
The Voyager
The Voyager is located on the waters edge, where the Esperance River meets the Tasman Sea,providing a tranquil haven of unhurried living and serenity. The far south in Tasmania is somewhere really special that offers a distinctive and uncommon experience of genuine seclusion. It is untouched and the perfect place for true isolation.
We spent two nights here without leaving, it was truly special. The Voyager has all the essentials for you need to stay put.
Little Falu
A tiny home located in North Tasmania in a small town Pioneer. Surprisingly spacious and cozy, Little Falu–a 6-meter-long house trailer, offers all the essentials for a peaceful retreat from the busy city life. You may think it’s quite small but it’s super spacious with a full kitchen, bathtub, shower, super comfy bed and a small fire place to keep the home cozy and warm.
The Blue Derby trails and Little Blue Lake are conveniently located just a 15-minute drive away. They provide opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and a rejuvenating dip following a sauna session.
Naivasha Cottage
The perfect place to stay put, relax, watch the stars by night or ducks, bunnies, birds & wallabies during the day. The Cottage is nestled in the serenity of the luscious Tasmanian bush but is still conveniently close to many shops and restaurants. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest chickens. I’ve never seen chickens run so quick, they were eager to see us. The living space has beautiful bush and lake views and a wood fire to keep it cozy inside. I loved watching the two resident ducks and I was on a look out for the platypus that has been spotted in the past. Unfortunately we weren’t lucky enough to see it. Naivasha Cottage is the perfect place to slow down and immerse yourself in nature.
If you are looking for something smaller, they have a Tiny House with a wood fired hot tub that sleeps 2. We unfortunately didn’t have enough time to experience it but it looks incredible.
Whale Song Shack
Built in the 1980βs by a local fisherman
an entire beach shack located in a sleepy town on the east coast of Tasmania where you forget the world, disconnect, slow down and get lost in the ocean views. I found myself warming up near the outdoor fire pit staring out to sea spotting seals and dolphins. If you visit Whale Song at the right season, you might catch a glimpse of passing whales.
Alex and I cherished this cottage as a romantic getaway, yet it can easily accommodate up to four guests, making it an ideal spot to enjoy with friends.
This cottage has everything you need + more, there is no reason for you to leave. I feel so inspired after leaving and I can’t wait to come back to this magical part of the world….
